DAVID FLACK FOR COUNTRY ROAD
"The Melbourne-based interior architect is in the midst of moving into a brand new studio (albeit only a few streets away from his current residence). Here, we get one of the first looks at the new digs.
The new space embraces Flack Studio’s hallmarks: it’s got flair, character and considered restraint but also does not take itself too seriously... Working across domestic, commercial, retail and hospitality projects, Flack Studio creates spaces you want to move straight into and never leave, and after all that is the challenge of an interior architect: creating a room of one’s own.

IVY MUSE FOR THE DESIGN FILES
"Our current fascination with all things green is demonstrated once again in the new ‘Botanical Emporium’ from local plant accessories company Ivy Muse.
Launched by long time friends and creative businesswomen Jacqui Vidal and Alana Langan, this lush little retail hotspot is overflowing with plant accessories, pretty foliage and botanical inspired homewares. It’s open now, in Armadale."

"Reko Rennie is an interdisciplinary artist who explores his Aboriginal identity through contemporary media. Through his art, Rennie provokes discussion surrounding Indigenous culture and identity in contemporary urban environments.
Largely autobiographical, his commanding works combine the iconography of his Kamilaroi heritage with stylistic elements of graffiti. Merging traditional diamond-shaped designs, hand-drawn symbols and repetitive patterning to subvert romantic ideologies of Aboriginal identity.
